She graduated from Moscow Printing Institute, and has worked for a number of Russian type design organisations and publishers. For many years Ms. Kuznetsova specialised in Arabic type design; she designed many Arabic and Cyrillic typefaces. Some of her Arabic designs, in Naskh, Kufi, Nastaliq and other styles, were developed in co-operation with Egyptian, Iranian, and Lebanese calligraphers. Since 1992 she has been a staff designer for ParaType, Moscow.
