Getting around

Trams

You will get to know the Helsinki trams - part of one of the best public transport systems in Europe.

The number 6 tram travels from the center of Helsinki leaving next to the railway station, up to the Lume Centre and back again to the Railway station. The trip lasts 15-20 minutes depending on the time of day. It costs €1.80 if you buy your ticket from the driver and €1.50 if you purchase it from a kiosk before you board. During the daytime, one tram leaves every 5-10 minutes and after 2100, one leaves every 10-15 minutes.
