Fontzone: New look, new features4 October, 1999 If you're a Fontzone regular I hope you've noticed we've something of a new look. If youíve taken the time to look around youíll also notice some new features to the site, and maybe something that's disappeared. What's gone!? Frames. Whereas the old site had the option of frames or frameless, the new style is frameless only. If you feel you want to see the site with frames again let us know, we'll look into it. But as we were reworking the site it become less and less feasible to have two distinct tracks of navigation. At least it was if you wanted to play to the strengths of either, rather than compromise both. New features? Search. Right now, for the first time, you can search all the articles within Fontzone. Want some background on ATM, new releases or events? Just use the mini search form that's in the sidebar of every page. Additionally some articles will include suggested keyword searches in the sidebar, just click and go. We've also tuned-up the cross-referencing of stories and links out to sources, so you should never be more than a couple of clicks away from getting more information about an article. At some point, in the not too distant future, we'll be using our own search bot to verify all the links we have on a regular basis. If a site has disappeared, or is unavailable for a period of time, our links will reflect that, we won't be sending you off to sites that have long since disappeared. A new look? Ok, a new/restyled logo. But we're still working on other design elements, which should be integrated over the next couple of months. Apart from what you see right now we have some plans that will make this site more useful than ever before. Again those features will follow in the coming months. If we are missing anything you'd like to see, let us know, because we cetainly value your feedback and weíre planning for the long term. The work we've put in over the last couple of months should help keep the site fresh, and make it easier to revise in the future. And if it doesn't, well, we can always do it all again!
