This is 'seroius', mum

The advent of electronic messaging via pdf file causes great concern as professional type conference breaks down the english language into illiteracy. More time should be spent on learning the language instead of recreating endless repetitions of the alphabet.

Newsletter heading proudly announces get 'seroius' writing, at stunning discount, with the discount obviously being in the department of not having a spell check. 'Seroius' matter this.

Suggestion, Fontlab should insert a checker in their new products so that professionals should not further embarrass themselves.

Ahh, for the return of hot metal, and the proof readers that used to exist.

Editors comment:
Our aim -- to speed up the process of ATypI delegates sharing news (using the web interface) -- is of course open to errors. Spelling mistakes are an increasing 'curse' of web publishing!
