Juliet Shen
Juliet Shen pursued a career as a graphic designer for 25 years and then studied typeface design at the University of Reading. She teaches typography in Seattle and chairs the Education Forum at TypeCon. Her current life centers on a return to drawing and printmaking, as well as special typeface design projects.
These include Bullen, inspired by early American metal faces; Earlybird, a proprietary font for Oxford University Press; Lushootseed School, an American indigenous font; and the companion Latin typeface for AwanZaman Arabic by Mamoun Sakkal.
