Born in Republic of Korea, after the completion of PhD at National Kyushu Institute of Technology Graduate School of Design, currently he has been dedicating to education of typography design and design history at National University Corporation Tsukuba University of Technology Faculty of Industrial. His professional studies are focused in typography and design history of Korean (Haeseo Style), Chinese (Ming Style), manufacturing of Latin- alphabet for the multilingual typesetting in 19th century Japan, China.
