ATypI Hong Kong calls for programme proposals

ATypI invites proposals for workshops and presentations for its 2012 conference in Hong Kong, China, from 10 to 14 October.

ATypI 2012 welcomes proposals from around the world that addresses typographic communication from various perspectives including usability, aesthetic, technological, historical, political, cultural, social, linguistic and other uncharted areas.

Conference attendees will represent the craft, business, educational and technological spheres of type and typography. They will include type designers, graphic designers, project managers and software engineers from leading software companies and font foundries, web designers, information designers, researchers, historians, educators, writers, publishers, lettering artists, students, and typography enthusiasts from around the world.

Submission dates

Submissions due: 20 April 2012
Notification date: 18 May 2012
First draft of (optional) full paper: 30 June 2012
