Reykjavík call for papers

The ATypI Board and our Icelandic hosts are pleased to invite proposals for lectures, workshops, discussion groups, or other activity that you believe will be of interest to our audience at the ATypI Reykjavík conference on 14–18 September 2011.

As always, we will offer a diverse selection of presentations. The theme of this year’s conference is the ‘eth’ (ð), and by extension the ‘additional letters’ that complement so many writing systems and give them their distinctive character. We encourage proposals that touch on the conference theme, although it is not required.

We are also delighted to announce noted calligrapher and type designer Gunnlaugur Briem as our keynote speaker.

For complete details and to submit a presentation, please visit the full Call for papers. Proposals should be completed via the online proposal form.

The latest submission date is 30 April.

Proposers will be notified on 11 May.
