Ideographic typefaces such as Chinese, Japanese, Korean are characterised by large number of characters. Ideographic characters ranges from very simple to very complex. Some of the many challenges of designing and producing a CJK ideographic font is to maintain consistency and tranquility. This presentation is about traditional techniques and methodology on how these can be achieved.
