This presentation will introduce the audience to the post-graduate program ‘Typographie & Langage’, opened since 2008 at the École supérieure d’art et de design in Amiens (France). This 16-month international course is one of the most recent endeavours in Europe to develop teaching in type design (including non-latin typefaces) with the help of a dedicated team of professionals (Jean-Baptiste Levée, Alice Savoie, Patrick Doan, Titus Nemeth). This survey of the course’s resources and first achievements will be completed by Sandrine Nugue, who gratuated in February 2013 with her typeface family project Ganeau. She’ll demonstrate that legibility and aesthetic can match each other quite well
