The experimental presentation of the young and emerging scene of Polish type design will consist of four case studies delivered by the most outstanding practitioners of the new generation, moderated by design critic and educator, Agata Szydłowska. The especially curated show aims at presenting different, yet interrelated topics of interest of the speakers, ranging from scientific research, through projects developed within broader, Central European context, to cases focused on cultural investigation and critical examination of local history and tradition. Together, they form a comprehensive survey of what’s most important to the young generation of Polish type designers: combination of critical historical and cultural research with a deep interest in local, but not necessarily national context.
Agata Szydłowska (moderator); Jan Bajtlik, Viktoriya Grabowska, Marian Misiak, and Zofia Oslislo (presenters).
