Ken Lunde

Dr. Ken Lunde was raised in rural Wisconsin, received his BA, MA, and PhD degrees in linguistics from The University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1987, 1988, and 1994, respectively, and joined Adobe in July of 1991. As a Senior Computer Scientist specializing in CJKV (Chinese, Japanese, Korean & Vietnamese) Type Development, Dr. Lunde primarily develops East Asian fonts, along with the specifications on which they are based, and also specializes in East Asian character sets and encodings. He has authored over a dozen font-related Adobe Technical Notes and White Papers, along with three books, the latest of which is "CJKV Information Processing" Second Edition, published by O'Reilly Media at the end of 2008. His involvement in standards-related activities includes serving as the IVD Registrar and being on the Unicode Editorial Committee. He also posts regularly to the CJK Type Blog.
