Yuki Kikutake

Yuki Kikutake is a graphic designer and a professor of visual communication design at Tokyo Metropolitan University (Graduate School of System Design, Department of Industrial Art). She began her career working for Nippon Design Center, and in 1994 she established Studio Compasso. She has created various projects that show how the possibilities of supergraphics needn’t be constrained by conventional ideas of architecture, space, and environment. During the course of her career, Kikutake has received numerous awards: the Watford Group’s Brunel Award, the D&AD Yellow Pencil, and the Good Design Award in Japan, among others. She is the author of Super Graphics (Seigensha, 2018). 菊竹雪はグラフィックデザイナー、首都大学東京教授(システムデザイン研究科インダストリアルアート学域ヴィジュアルコミュニーションデザイン研究室)。日本デザインセンターを経て、1990年コンパッソ設立。建築、空間、環境にかかわる概念にとらわれないスーパーグラフィックの仕事を多く手がけている。グッドデザイン賞をはじめ、JAGDA新人賞、JCDデザイン優秀賞、SDAデザイン大賞。海外では英国D&ADイエローペンシル賞、ブルネル賞等受賞。著書に「Super Graphics」青幻社 2018。
