International student type design exhibition

The Lorraine Fine Art School is inviting to participate in an international call for applications for recently drawn, unpublished type designs by students. The selected project will be shown at their gallery in Metz, a nice exhibition space of 300 m2 in the center of the city. A free take-away catalogue will be distributed at the opening of the exhibition.

The call for applications for Pangramme is open to undergraduate, graduate and post-graduate students, with no age restrictions, as well as to students who have recently finished their studies (until degree in 2013). The work must be a new, original and unpublished design by the participant. Each individual participant or team may submit only one entry. The entry must be submitted in the required form, as described below. All kind of typefaces are eligible for entry.

The jury will make a selection of around 30 to 50 projects and will award honorable mentions, announced at the opening of the exhibition. The jury is composed of five professional type designers from different countries, generations and all having thorough teaching experience: Andrea Tinnes, Alejandro Lo Celso, Matthieu Cortat, Hans-Jürg Hunziker and Gerard Unger.
